Be a Living Icon! Slow to Speak
Mouths in icons are traditionally smaller than one would expect for the size of the face. It's not an accident!The size of the mouth shows us that the saint is slow to speak but quick to hear the word of God. If we're not talking, that gives us ample opportunity to listen! It also helps curb our tendency to gossip, criticize, put others down, etc.
Do you find yourself falling into sins of speech? Have you been trying to "bite your tongue"? Ask God for the grace to be slow to speak this Great Fast.
