Feast Day, Saints -

The Hieromartyr Acepsimas, Bishop of Naeson and Others with Him

Today we celebrate the Hieromartyr Acepsimas, Bishop of Naeson and others with him.

One day, Bishop Acepsimas was entertaining guests and a child ran in, kissed him on the head, and said, "Blessed is this head, for it will receive suffering for Christ." Later, King Sapor started persecuting the Christians in Persia, and Bishop Acepsimas was caught up in the activities. After several years of torture and interrogation, he was beheaded.
