The Holy Apostle Thomas

Today we celebrate the Holy Apostle Thomas. St. Thomas is known as Doubting Thomas, because he did not believe his fellow apostles when they told him that Jesus had risen from the dead and appeared to them. Jesus later appeared to the apostles, including St. Thomas, and invited him to place his hands in Jesus' wounds. St. Thomas replied, "My Lord and my God!" What a statement of belief!
St. Thomas traveled as far as India, preaching and converting those he encountered. May we, like St. Thomas, have such fervent belief after encountering Christ, and spread that to those who we meet.
