Alleluia!
Some of you are quite shocked by our graphic today! It's Lent! It's the Great Fast! And you're saying Alleluia?!
We are, we do! During the Great Fast we say alleluia even more than any other time of the year. Some of our traditional responses are replaced with alleluia. In this context, alleluia is our way of saying, "Praise the Lord!" which is it's true meaning. Saying alleluia throughout the Great Fast is a way to remind ourselves to praise the Lord for the work He's done in our lives and the work He continues to do.
So say it! Say alleluia and mean it! Just two more weeks in the Great Fast. Keep up your prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. And praise the Lord!
