Today we celebrate the feast of Theophany, when Christ was baptized in the Jordan and the voice of the Father was heard, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased." (Mt 3:17) This feast is significant because it is on this day that Jesus' divinity is revealed to all.

Theophany is Coming!

Theophany is coming! Are you ready?

There is a tradition of having your house blessed as part of the celebration of Theophany. The priest will visit and bless the rooms of the house, the people who live there, and pray for their relatives who have died. There's a similar tradition in the West on the feast of the Epiphany which includes writing on the doorpost with chalk.
