Fun fact time! This past Saturday, October 1st, we celebrated the feast of the Holy Protection of the Mother of God, which initiates our month of Mary. On the feast day, we celebrate the day, evening really, when St. Andrew the Fool for Christ saw Our Lady appearing above the people who were holding vigil, with a mantle in her hands, as a sign of protection in the act of spreading her mantle over the people. In this event and the icon, we see that Our Lady is praying for us and the whole world.
