Vigil of the Entrance of the Theotokos into the Temple
Tomorrow we celebrate the Entrance of the Theotokos into the Temple. The time Our Lady spent in the temple would have been a time of great formation, learning to pray and learning to listen to the Father. Her time of learning prepared her for when the angel Gabriel visited her, giving her the heart and mind to be able to immediately say yes, "Behold I am the handmaid of the Lord. Let it be done to me according to your word."
May we, like Mary, spend time in prayer, conforming our hearts to the Father so that when he asks something of us we too can say, "Let it be done to me according to your word."
Tomorrow is also Beth's birthday! God grant her many years!
