Weekly Gospel Reflection
Welcome to the 4th week of the Great Fast! How is Christ inviting us to walk more closely with Him through the desert, especially in this past Sunday’s Gospel? He does so by inviting us to deny ourselves, pick up our cross, and follow Him. This passage is a great reminder of how often we live for comfort; how we look for the next moment of ease, whether through food, tv shows, social media, hot showers, sleep, etc. Christ reminds us that we are not made for comfort but for greatness through sacrificial love. God Himself is personally inviting us to follow in His Footsteps…He is providing us the key to experience true glory. May we all ask for this grace to follow our Lord in this way.
